COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

We are delighted to welcome everyone back to Riverhouse Barn. The safety of our audience, visitors, volunteers and staff are of the utmost importance to us, so we have implemented some changes to our operation so that we can comply with government guidance to operate safely. Measures we have introduced include reduced seating capacity for our events, an enhanced cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise high touch points during the day and after each event, one way systems around the building to avoid pinch points, e-ticketing and the use of contactless payments where possible.

We have reopened The Robert Phillips Gallery and where possible there will be additional cafe seating inside the gallery.

We are currently producing a number of socially distanced events with reduced seating capacities, both inside in our auditorium and outside on our Festival Stage.

We are running a number adult and children’s art classes with a reduced capacity and length.

If you are able and wish to do so, we are still very appreciative of donations to our Covid response fund – every bit will help Riverhouse and Riverhouse artists whose livelihoods have been devastated by this virus. Click here to donate.
If you can help – fantastic! If you can’t, we totally understand, so please go ahead and enjoy whatever event takes your fancy, because that’s what we are here for.

YOUR VISIT

When visiting us, we require you to either sign in with the NHS Test and Trace app using the QR code displayed in the building, or by the paper form provided at the entrances to the building. This information will be securely kept for three weeks and then destroyed.

We have installed hand sanitiser stations and signage throughout the building and we ask that you respect social distancing and hygiene measures.

A reduced number of toilets are open and we ask you to respect hygiene measures and leave them clean for subsequent users. Toilets will be checked for cleanliness at specified times during opening hours by a member of staff.

We have created one-way entrance and exit systems for Robert Phillips Gallery and auditorium access and restricted the number of viewers in the gallery at any one time.

We will ensure ventilation systems are running before, during and after performances and keep outside doors open in the auditorium during performances, where possible. Performances may be reduced in length where this may not be possible.

Drinks will be served using table service at all events, both indoors and outdoors, to comply with government guidelines.

We ask that all transactions be made using contactless or card payments.

At the end of an event, we ask you to help by either taking your rubbish home with you or putting it into our bins before you leave.

The wearing of face masks is mandatory throughout the building, although, as per government guidance, we do not require children under the age of 11 to wear face coverings.

You must not attend the venue if you: believe you may be infected with COVID-19; have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days; have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days; or have been instructed to self-isolate.
